[One could make the argument that if you believe everyone around is crazy, they are likely not the crazy ones. Philip certainly does to himself about her and certainly not about himself. But generally speaking, it is safer to not challenge crazy on their sanity. Particularly if they are like Clementine and have distinct moments of clarity where others are blind to the reality of the situation.]

[And besides, crazy can be useful. Crazy can be pointed in the correct direction and be highly effective when the time comes.]

[Not that he's planning for there to be a time exactly, but it never hurts to be prepared.]
